Angeline is President of assa Inc. since 1999. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and a MS in Material Sciences. Angeline worked in business development, account management, scientific instrument development and worldwide product marketing before she set up assa Inc in 1999. assa Inc. is a consulting company that offers educational and analytical services as well as litigation support for the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Ilie Saracovan, Director International Services:
Dr. Ilie Saracovan holds a PhD degree in Physical Chemistry (McGill University, Montreal, Canada) and a MS degree in Polymer Engineering (Technical University "Politehnica", Timisoara, Romania). With almost 30 years of combined experience in pharmaceutical industry, academia and polymer industry, Ilie is an expert in structural and morphological characterization of pharmaceutical and polymeric materials. His in-depth expertise spans from thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, surface characterization to automated analysis of solid contaminants. Ilie was first to introduce to pharmaceutical industry and apply the automated scanning electron microscopy technology to analysis of particulate matter in the quality control of drug products. He has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the development, validation and transfer of solid state analytical methods (GMP and non-GMP) from early stage of R&D to manufacturing of finished goods. Ilie is highly skilled in using a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and root-cause analysis of failure of pharmaceutical materials and devices.
