Bruker AXS, Inc.
Bruker AXS produces advanced materials characterization tools using x-ray technology. Typical applications range from pharmaceutical powders to catalysts and other new or traditional materials. At IWPCPS-4 Bruker will feature the D8 CST, a high throughput screening system for combinatorial transmission applications.

Clemex Technologies Inc.

Clemex Technologies Inc. develops, manufactures and markets image analysis systems and software used by research microscopy laboratories. Clemex’s customer base spans the globe and encompasses large research facilities in the pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnology sectors, among others.

The company’s key product, Clemex Vision, enables its user to significantly increase productivity and eliminate subjectivity from analysis. Whether quantifying blood cells, crystals, powders or other types of particles, Clemex Vision can be used in an infinite amount of applications.

Hiden Isochema Ltd.
Hiden Isochema manufactures a wide range of high quality instruments for the characterization of vapor sorption and MVTR (Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate) properties in pharmaceutical materials. Our IGAsorp uses the GVS technique (Gravimetric Vapour Sorption also known as Dynamic Vapour Sorption) and is designed to characterizae water and organic vapor sorption isotherms, investigate hydrate phases and deliquescence, detect and quantify amorpous phases and measure kinetics such as diffusion rates and Moisture Vapour Transmission Rates (MVTR's). Additionaly, Hiden Isochema's IGA range of instruments can measure the propellant interation with inhalation products using the vacuum method. For more information please see our website www.HidenIsochema.com.

Hecus Braun-Graz X-Ray Systems
Hecus M.Braun is a leading developer and supplier of instrumentation for X-ray scattering. The product line includes industrial-standard camera systems for simultaneous small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering, both for nanostructural phase property mapping / high-throuput screening in the R&D laboratory, and for on-line, continuous process control in chemical production. Customer support includes special training courses and expert advice with particular applications, ranging from powders to soft condensed matter, and to macromolecular solutions.

Jobin Yvon, Inc.
Jobin Yvon has been manufacturing state-of-the-art optical equipment for almost 200 years. Our present line of equipment includes a variety of grating-based, spectroscopic instrumentation for measuring Atomic Emission, Molecular Fluorescence, Fingerprints, Thin Films, and Raman, as well as spectroscopic building blocks. The combination Raman/FTIR microscope will be on display at this meeting. Both these techniques measure molecular and crystalline vibrational spectra which has proven quite useful in the pharmaceutical industry. Jobin Yvon is a subsidiary of Horiba that has recently introduced a micro XRD system that offers 10um spatial resolution.

Kaiser Optical Systems, Inc.

A Rockwell Collins company, is recognized as a world leader in the production of high-performance holographic optical elements (HOEs) for spectroscopic, aerospace, and military applications. The use of our holographic notch filters for laser line rejection has revolutionized modern Raman spectroscopy. Our innovative fiber optic probe, imaging spectrograph, and transmission grating technologies provide a solid foundation for a complete family of compact, high-performance and extremely reliable instrumentation - RamanRxn Systems™ family of Raman analyzers.

Micromeritics Instrument Corporation
Automatic analytical laboratory instruments that measure the physical characteristics of powders and solids for R&D, QA/QC, production and process control applications. Characteristics measured include: particle size, surface area, chemisorption, TPD/TPR, true density, envelope density, pore volume and pore size.

PANalytical (formerly Philips Analytical)
PANalytical Inc., formerly Philips Analytical, is the leading supplier of
X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray flourescence (XRF) equipment. Our
philosophy is to provide targeted solutions to customers'applications, from research to process control. XRD solutions include the versatile X'Pert Pro with new XML software; CubiX Pro and CubiX Fast, the R&D100 winner for XRD process control.

Quantachrome Instruments
We will be exhibiting our NOVA e-Series high-speed surface area and pore size analyzer, the latest generation of our NOVA series. Our representative will be available to discuss Quantachrome Instruments complete line of particle characterization instruments using BET gas sorption technologies, mercury porosimetry, water vapor sorption, chemisorption, and helium pycnometry.

Rigaku/MSC
Rigaku/MSC provides the world's most complete line of x-ray diffraction and flourescence instruments, including: desktop and laboratory powder diffractometers, small-angle scattering systems, rotating-anode generators; sequential and simultaneous x-ray spectrometers. In addition to instruments, complete contract services are offered for x-ray analysis.

SensIR Technologies
The IlluminatIR accessory for light microscopes expands a microscope's capabilities to do molecular analysis. Unlike complex FT-IR microscopes, the IlluminatIR retains all of the funcitons of the original microscope such as polarized light, flourescence, and image analysis. Spectral data is provided which allows the microscopist to identify specimens even when there is no optical contrast.

Surface Measurement Systems
SMS manufactures and designs state-of-the-art sorption technology for the physico-chemical characterization of pharmaceutical materials.

The Dynamic Vapour Sorption (DVS) is now recognized as the leading moisture sorption analyzer in the field, combining excellent sensitivity and reliability with the flexibility to add organic vapour, video microscope and fibre-probe spectroscopy options.

Inverse Gas Chromotography (IGC) is rapidly gaining a reputation as a powerful technique for measuring the surface properties of powders. In particular IGC is becoming a preferred technique for surface energy analysis of batch-to-batch variability in pharmaceutical manufacturing and formulation.

In addition our latest accessory, the VGI 2000M, allows the control of humidity on a microscope stage for studying moisture induced phase transitions. As well as light microscopy, the accessory may also be used with Raman and FT-IR microscopes, allowing spectroscopic characterization of different hydration states for example.
